a toast and a hug to my friends sarah and drew.
their wedding had special meaning and joy for me . . . drew's family was one of my first clients. his mom, jane, asked me to photograph drew and his sister, claire, way back when claire was still in high school and babysitting our then pre-school aged children.
and now their family has grown to include SARAH and her family!
i love these shots of sarah preparing, surrounded by loved ones: and below is one of my favorite shots of sarah getting ready, made by karen eagle, who did a fantastic job of assisting that day. (and that's drew's sister, claire, and sarah's sister, lauren, clapping in the center and to the right . . . HURRAY for sisters!) drew and sarah opted for a private moment before the ceremony . . . it's an intimate way to connect with your partner amidst the whirlwind of the wedding day: it also gave us a chance to photograph the two of them (2 more GREAT shots by Karen!) AND their loved ones and still have time to head outside the church after the ceremony for some fun about-town picture-making and we returned to this alley in particular . . . we'd come here for drew and sarah's engagement session (thanks for carrying those chairs from church to alley, drew :') after a downtown spin, we headed back to the reception, where sarah's family had organized a spectacular dessert buffet. just take a peak at these treats lots of special moments throughout the reception: sarah with her dad drew with sister claire sarah with sister lauren and drew and sarah . . . married! now that you've seen a taste of their wedding day, come see the rest! Here's the link to their wedding day slideshow ~ just click here. congratulations to sarah and to drew and to the Bosso and Piester families. And thanks, sarah and drew, for letting me document your day! ~kim
