SilverBox Photographers is on the hunt for a dependable, self-motivated, and talented individual to join our crew. This position will be a minimum of 5 hours a week, but could result in up to 12 hours in the future. Someone with a good work ethic is mandatory. We like to have fun, but we also work hard! We work out of our downtown Columbia, MO studio. Normal studio hours are 10am-5pm but the working hours of this position are flexible.

Responsibilities Overview:

Graphic Design

  • Product design

  • Brand promotion & management

  • Marketing material design

  • Graduation announcement design

  • Email campaign design

  • Website maintenance

Studio Management

  • Communicate with potential and current clients

  • Communicate with Annika on client work

  • Package orders

  • Update email databases

  • Send studio newsletters & emails

  • Light photography assisting

  • Social media marketing

  • General filing, office organization

Portrait Workflow

  • Session preparation

  • Client order fulfillment

  • Create client galleries, blog posts, social media posts

  • Assist with image processing and organization, as needed

  • Backing up files and storage management


The ideal candidate must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Bridge. Experience with Adobe Lightroom, Google Drive, and Squarespace preferred, but not required. Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills needed. Willing to learn and work with new resources.

This position is not open to photographers or those who wish to pursue a career in photography.

A 2-week probation/training period will begin at $10/hr. The ongoing rate will depend on experience. Due to the amount of training required, we are looking for someone who plans to stick around for a while.
