leah and justin are married! i'm so excited for you to see these pictures from their wedding, that i've found a little coffee shop with free wi-fi here in chicago (i'm spending a couple days going to museums with my kids) so that I could post this blog entry.
quick! take a look at these pictures below and then take a peak at leah + justin's wedding day slideshow!!! oh, and a quick note about leah . . . she is do-it-yourself-AMAZING! she sewed her flower girl's dress herself! take a look: the ceremony was bEEEautiful! leah and justin were married at St. Peter Catholic Church just across from the state capitol in jefferson city. this picture was made with a fisheye lens, which i use sparingly, but with architecture like this, you've got to show it all: but even more visually exciting than the cathedral's architecture was the high-intensity emotion of leah and justin's ceremony . . . i love capturing these moments: and I've got to pause here to rave about my second shooter at leah and justin's wedding: drew piester! you would never have known from the pictures drew made that he was photographing his first wedding. he's building a photography career, and he's totally talented . . . take a look at the next three shots made by drew (and then click here for his on-line portfolio): and i'm personally proud of this next close-up image . . . look at the expression in justin's eyes: we had fun with the capitol as a backdrop: and speaking of backdrops, leah put her sewing skills to good use at the reception too (see that hand-sewn "b" for bolten?!): the wedding was a blast of joy . . . and if you haven't seen the slideshow yet, click here! congrats to leah and justin (and thanks joey and kourtney for sending them to silverbox . . . i loved seeing you two again! :')
