MARRIED: brengarth bray is a winning ticket!

The only thing more exciting than election night is . . . a wedding! Megan and John met while on the 2008  campaign trail. They took a break from 2012 campaigning on the east coast to get married in Boonville, Megan's home town. The wedding was like a "best of" mid-mo experience for out-of-state guests: megan got ready in a top-of-the-bluff mansion on High Street; the wedding party made a stop at Megan's family's harvest-ready wheat fields; and guests danced to an incredible band at the Kimball Ballroom on Stephens College campus.

Look below for some of our favorites moments from their day. And click here to see their wedding slideshow.

I sure hope Megan and John end up back in the Midwest someday. If the Brengarth Bray ticket ever made it onto the ballot, it would absolutely get my vote!  I suspect that these two are more content to work behind the scenes though, so it was great to see them have a night on center stage. Congrats you two,

i learned about a new wedding day tradition! apparently, it's good luck to bury a bottle of whiskey (and probably not just any bottle of whiskey) BEFORE the wedding day and then dig it up (and take a few swigs of course) on the wedding day. cheers!
